PentaLatin:Uploading files

From PentaLatin

Who can upload

Uploading requires the contributor role, not just a registered account. If you'd like to upload scores or recordings, ask an admin to add your account to the contributor group via Special:UserRights.

Registered users can still create and edit pages (composer/work pages, categories, etc.) without this role — it only gates file uploads.

Before you upload

Read PentaLatin:Licensing policy first. The site's copyright stance for this catalog isn't fully decided yet — when in doubt, don't upload, and ask.

Allowed file types

Currently PDF, JPG, and PNG only (audio/video isn't enabled yet). Max upload size is 50 MB.

How to upload

  1. Go to Special:Upload.
  2. Name the file Title - Composer Name.pdf (or similar), matching
 PentaLatin:Naming conventions.
  1. On the file description page, add {{File infobox}} (see
 Template:File infobox for parameters) and leave license blank unless you have a
 real answer.
  1. Link the file from the relevant Work page under a "Score" or "Recording"
 heading, e.g.:
== Score ==
* [[File:Arrullo - Blas Galindo.pdf]]

Moderation

Uploads publish immediately — there's no pre-approval queue. Admins patrol Special:RecentChanges after the fact and will follow up on anything that looks wrong (wrong license, wrong file type, mislabeled page, etc.).
